A convivial evening of song, singing, and sushi, shared with our buddies from the Achievers and the Musicians/Songwriters/Karaoki-ists meetups. “Rawr” by Norm and “Alison” by Elvis Costello on the plate, along with “Chico & the Man”, “Fat Old Sun”, and “The Cat Has Not Yet Spoken”, also by Norm.
Guest singer Karl engaged the audience with “Mad, Mad World”, “Come Together”, and “Me & Julio Down By the Schoolyard”.
Thanks to the Achievers (Jerry, Marie, Michelle & Matt, Jon, Joe, Joe, Adrienne, Tracey, Peter, Ed, Rich, Patrick, please let me know if I missed anyone) for coming out to play and sing all kinds of cool stuff, from “Gigantic”, to “Here, There, & Everywhere” and everything in and out-between, with fine performances and good cheer, and also to Barry Bohr and Band for playing excellent renditions of classic tunes – tight grooves, and love the tone from that acoustic bass.
Norm and Chris holding down the fort while waiting for Rahul to come back from spicier climes:
Chico & the Man – great theme song from the 1970’s sitcom.
Pink Floyd – Atom Heart Mother
Norm, waiting for the Feline Word.
Another cat-pronouncement from Norm.
Seminal Elvis Costello.
April 7th, 8:15pm is your next Headhouse opportunity to let it all hang out in public (the only way to do it). Otherwise, see you on Saturday, 4:15pm at Gojjo!
